And more About 1,500 apps in the catalogue; some need a one-time setup.

App connections run through your workspace’s integration catalogue (Composio on the hosted service). Self-hosted availability may follow Pipedream instead.

LinkedIn offers profile and posting tools only. Do not use bots to automate LinkedIn browsing, sourcing or messaging. A connection is not automatic CRM sync.

What asks for your approval?

Calls the bot places itself ask each time by default. A calling handoff is a rule you confirm once; its calls then run within your cap, cooldown, hours and Do not call list.

Turn on Ask before sending external email to make Gmail and Outlook sends wait on a card. It does not cover Mailchimp or Kit campaign sends.

Webhook, call-triggered and record-handoff runs ask before actions beyond the safe set, which includes records and web research. Chat-app runs follow normal action rules.

  2. 02

    Give it your answers

Add the brief and brand notes to the Library. Set the voice agent’s knowledge, disclosure and callback limits.

  3. 03

    Test the whole next step

Try an uncertain caller. Read the record and follow-up draft. Adjust the flow before you choose to publish it.

What it can do.
What still needs you.

Can it answer real phone calls, and where?

Live calls are not enabled on the hosted service. They require a deployment with the calling add-on enabled, a supported carrier account and numbers you own. Build, edit and test voice agents wherever the calling engine runs. Calls are English only, with a default maximum length of five minutes. The engine has been tested with a test carrier; real-carrier operation has not yet been verified.

What stops it inventing an answer?

You give the voice agent approved knowledge, a call flow and instructions for uncertainty. Test those limits with difficult questions. These are controls, not a guarantee: inspect transcripts and records, and have it request a callback when it cannot answer.

Does it tell callers it is an AI?

Turn on Start with a disclosure and write the introduction. The example here opens with “I’m an AI assistant.” Record calls is off by default.

Can a person take over the call?

No. There is no live transfer or listening-in. The agent can record a callback request and end the call; a person returns it later. The live view shows the transcript as text.

Can it book appointments?

Not during a call. It can record a preferred callback time, not reserve a calendar slot. Connected calendar tools are available to bots doing text work outside the call.

Does it work with our CRM?

Bots can use tools from connected HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio and other catalogue apps. Pipedrive needs a one-time setup by your workspace operator. Connecting provides tools; it does not import your data or create automatic CRM sync. App connections are shared by your bots in the Space.

Can it call a list of leads?

You can import a CSV into a table with a confirmed call-on-create handoff. Each call is checked against the daily cap, cooldown, calling hours and Do not call list. A call outside hours is skipped, not queued for later. There is no campaign dialer, retry sequence or pacing. People maintain Do not call; a spoken refusal does not add someone automatically.

Can it answer WhatsApp or website forms?

A form reaches a routine’s Webhook through your server or an automation tool; keep the webhook secret out of browser code. The bot can write a record and draft a reply. Webhook runs ask before actions beyond a small safe set, including records and web research. WhatsApp and the other chat apps arrive in the next release: replies only, with no proactive messages, images or files. Who can message controls access. Chat-app runs follow normal action rules, not the webhook’s always-ask rule. WhatsApp Business limits general-purpose assistants outside the EU, and Meta bills replies per message.

Will the copy sound like us?

Give Iris brand notes and examples in the Library, then ask it to use them. Replies using those sources show Library · N sources. Your feedback shapes the next draft; you still check the tone and factual claims.

Does it publish our landing page or send our campaigns?

A landing page stops at a private development preview, with operator setup required. One does not publish or host it or manage its domain. In this workflow, you review generated copy and images and send campaigns yourself. Ask before sending external email covers Gmail and Outlook sends; it does not cover Mailchimp or Kit campaign sends, and there is no per-app approval switch.
